On the 21/01/09 we went to coleridge to experiment with the new movie storm software. We would of stayed at Long Road and worked on it form there but unfortunatly the software *movie storm* is far to advanced for our laptops, and even for the mac's at coleridge...
The first couple of hours of editing were going well, when people were making their sets, backgrounds and characters, but when it got to the audio for the videos, that was when many of us had trouble as when we eventualy got access to the mics, they did not work on every ones mac's only 3 or so people actualy managed to get the mics to work, in order to upload spoken dialog on their animations.
of their animations, as the mac's couldnt quite cope with the software and therefore started freezing, crashing and just in general were very slow, which was very annnoying especialy when we had just spent many hours working on the set, chracters and animation itself, all that time and then come to find the software just starts to lag and even close down!
Overall the trip was good, and i learnt a great deal about Movie Storm, but it definatly could of been better, especialy with the final production / saving to quicktime at the end as that was annoying, considering we had spent hours working on the animation, and then to find the software slows down and crashes on you, is very stressfull and annoying indeed, but all in all apart from the final stages of the production of our animations the trip went well.
