The logo has been changed from 1936. In 1936 the Columbia "Torch Lady" appeared with shimmering light projecting from her touch but that was far to bright, and the camera zoomed all the way into the torch to revel a seperate screen. But now the brighter light beem and radical zoom has been replaced by the rays of light projecting from the torch that she has in her hand.
This animation of the light beeming out really draws the audience in and allows them to focus more on the title above / behind the light. which is *Columbia*.
As for the lady herself, she is static and does not move, most of the movement is in the camera panning / zooming out from torch itself, to revel the full logo.
